We put the fun in fundraising! All proceeds from our dinner, dance, casino, live and silent auctions go toward paying off our building fund. We think the annual gala is a perfect time to meet new people you might not see in church each weekend. It's also a great event to invite friends and family to who are looking for a church home or who just want to support yours!
The time commitment changes based on who is chairing the Gala each year. There is always a kick off meeting in November where we come together to learn about the theme and name committee chairmen. Being a part of the committee is incredibly rewarding and while some committees meet in person often, others communicate through email only.
Anyone is welcome to join the Gala team and there are no specific skills required. However, we do love to have people on the team who are interested in soliciting area businesses for our live and silent auctions as well as those who have communications or graphic skills to help design our tickets, posters, and program. We need lots of help each year and it is always nice to see new faces join in on the fun!
